Millions of U.S. residents are uninsured. The nation's more than 1,250 Federally Qualified Health Centers are the ultimate safety net for these individuals, providing primary care, dental care, and more through 9,000 service delivery sites. While these centers receive substantial federal dollars, those grants represent less than 20 percent of their total budgets. (Medicaid payments represent another 40 percent.) Their financial needs are much greater than their resources.
The NAHU Education Foundation Board is launching an effort to assist these community centers at the grassroots level, with the goal of strengthening the nation's healthcare safety net.
Strategic Planning Sample
The NAHU Education Foundation invites your chapter to participate in Operation Engage in support of community health clinics. Participation is simple and easy, but the positive impact we can have is tremendous.
The Foundation will provide your chapter with all the tools and resources you’ll need to be successful in this effort, including a sample strategic plan item. We know your board is a committed group of busy volunteers. Making participation in Operation Engage a part of your chapter’s strategic plan will help assure your chapter participates in this important initiative.
We’ve also developed an Operation Engage FAQ to answer the most common questions you may have. If you need additional information, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
