Upon graduation from The Citadel, Bill Stafford became a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army and served eight years in leadership assignments in the Signal Corps and Artillery. Bill joined Pfizer in 1986 and since then has held various positions of responsibility within sales, benefits, product development and managed markets globally.
Currently, Bill works within Pfizer’s Patient & Health Impact Unit on the National Employer Team. In this capacity, he partners with targeted stakeholders to identify issues, analyze situations and develop solutions that align with mutual business objectives. In essence, the employer team partners with employers to educate, engage and empower their workforce.
During his thirty plus years with Pfizer, Bill has been consistently acknowledged for his contributions and leadership within the various divisions he has worked. In recognition of these accomplishments he was inducted into Pfizer’s Hall of Fame in 2010.
Bill serves as a Board Member of the National Association of Health Underwriter’s Foundation, as a Board Member and Vice President of the Integrated Benefits Institute, as a member of the Leadership Advisory Board for the Institute for Health and Productivity Management and the Worksite Wellness Alliance, a Board Member of the National Business Group on Health’s Institute for Health, Productivity and Human Capital Management and a Board Member for the South Carolina Business Coalition on Health.
He and his wife Mia reside in Miami, Florida.
